In The Fellowship of the Ring when Pippin proclaims he’s still hungry after having a first, but not second breakfast, an offscreen Aragorn throws some apples at him and Merry bonking Pippin on his hobbit head.. that was actually Viggo Mortensen himself lobbing the fruit.
