The production of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy required an enormous amount of effort in costume design, resulting in the creation of over 18,000 costumes. This monumental task was overseen by costume designer Ngila Dickson, who led a team of 40 tailors. They crafted multiple versions of each costume to ensure durability and continuity, with some costumes needing as many as 40 copies.
